I didn’t start to really try to get good wrestling shots until recently but I’ve always taken pictures when I’ve gone in the past. So I got this shot of Joey Ryan nearly 10 years ago during a local show at Frank-N-Sons Collectibles, they were fighting in the crowd and I was on the floor using a disposable camera. I totally lucked out and this has become one of my favorite shots.
I Scream for Ice Cream!!! Katie Martin and I have shot a lot of fun stuff over the years and this one was no different. We happened to be shopping in Monrovia, ca. one day and found this 1950s style candy and ice cream parlor, we asked if we could come back and shoot and they loved the idea. RIP Scoops ice cream parlor!
Henry Cruz, a long time friend of mine from college theatre, who is an amazing dancer and hiphop artist. This is yet another shot where we used my underground parking lot.
Two of my bestest besties Ashley & Luciana, a shot from my Zombie’s Angels shoot back in 2010… this was one of the favorite shots of the day even tho it only has 2 of my angels haha
She is one half of the fabulous Martinez Girls… Danielle Martinez! Every week Shelly & Danielle Martinez host a radio show called Funtime Radio (and Will & I get to tag along as special guests)… “Cafe Danielle” is a segment where the topic always involves the Arts. Listen in every Thursday afternoon st 2pm (pst) on blogtalkradio.com/funtimeradio
I met Crossed Keys about 6 years ago when they performed at a playhouse I worked for, n I started going to all their shows and became great friends w all of them. I even got my name Zombie from them, cuz I was obsessed w one of their songs called “zombie paradise”… check em out at facebook.com/crossedkeys
I met Danny Coggins on a photoshoot a few months ago when he was teamed up w another performer but he recently called me to do a solo shoot… so since he was styled by the awesome Punk Kouture we decided to go for a Hollywood Street kid kinda feel. This was definitely a fun shoot at 6am on Hollywood blvd haha.
So my friend Katie tells me I have to shoot w her friend Sam Spillman because he wants to do a James Dean inspired photoshoot… she had me at James Dean! So we took inspiration from that iconic shot where Mr. Dean is strolling in the middle of the street wearing a trench coat obviously haha… and Sam pulled it off nicely.
Little Miss Cookie from my first Zombie’s Angels shoot back in 2010… can you believe this is in my parking garage haha… she’s pimping out clothing accessories from Hustler Hollywood of course.
